Black Americans as a 'community' (how I have come to loathe that word) are compromised because the race privilege system has worked so well for their 'achievers'---just look at the appellate court in NY. Many of us can look at such a picture askance, and strongly suspect that they are not as competent as a white male in such a position would have to be. But that's obviously no incentive for blacks to turn on the system. Even blacks in prison will be reluctant to doubt the competency, wisdom, judgement or leadership abilities of blacks with lots of credentials. Look at the politics of Baltimore. They keep voting for "one of their own" as the city spirals down by every measurement. Blacks are the first 'protected class' and they are addicted to the perks and the freebies and the status. By the way, if you think you owe 'reparations', or someone claims you do, you have already been paying for the perks (effective or not) since the 1960's.
